Cats
I like cats much although I don't have one myself. My grandmother always had cats with outstanding names such as Choo-Choo and Moshe. The latter had patch that looked like the eye cap of Moshe Dayan (who remembers him?) The all became very old, probably because grandmother only feed them with liver from the butchers.
My mother who now lives in the grandmother’s house also has a cat whose name is Einstein. He is a good companion of my mother and lives in her house and garden. We think he’s an intelligent cat and so does he.
In the Ueno Park lives a population of Orange Tabby a cat that is very common in Japan. They cater for themselves although some people also give them food.
On a trip to Hinoshima Island in Amakusa we saw a bunch of young cats playing and lazing near the parking. There were three Orange Tabbys and two jet black ones.
When I had the chance to see lions in the wild in South Africa, I realized how closely they resemble to our house cats. Especially the way the relax and like to laze in the sun is very much the same.
