Reminders of life before

The power of the tsunami unleashed masses of water the brought total destruction to vast areas.

When the had water receded it left behind a trail of items and things that had once been in peoples lives being important or insignificant.

More than anything else this illustrates the futility of material belongings when human is confronted with the brute power of nature.

Some items lay just where the water left them. Others had been collected and carefully placed by survivors or rescuers. Perhaps in the attempt to bring some peace and calm back into the overwhelming chaos left by the tsunami.

Ironically the eleveation above sea is indicated at 4 meters. The GPS location shows the place of the shop.
